Nikki and Ben had a romantic summer wedding at the gorgeous Palma restaurant in New York City. They wanted an intimate wedding, with their closest family and friends, that felt intentional and romantic. Their day at Palma was the perfect blend of warmth, elegance, and New York City charm. As their wedding photographers, we focused on documenting each moment with care and intention, incorporating a lot of film to capture the timeless feel of their wedding day.
Ceremony At Palma
Nikki and Ben decided to opt out of the first look and chose to focus on the wedding ceremony at Palma. The charming courtyard at Palma was filled with lush gardens and soft florals, creating the perfect setting for their wedding ceremony and cozy lunch celebration. Every detail reflected them as a couple, from the handwritten signage to the warm candlelit tables. It was the perfect backdrop for their wedding day.
Nikki walked down the aisle with her father. She and Ben shared heartfelt vows in front of the people who mean the most to them. Nikki wore a sleek, low-back wedding dress and a pearl-dotted veil that added a soft, romantic touch. Ben kept it classic in a navy suit with a white shirt, light blue tie, and simple boutonnière. They looked timeless and perfectly coordinated.
Bride and Groom Portraits in the West Village
After the ceremony, Nikki and Ben took some gorgeous bride and groom portraits at Palma and throughout the West Village. This was a highlight of the day for us. Their spirits were high, and it was so fun to document them as newlyweds in such an iconic neighborhood.
We walked past classic brownstones, paused for a few shots near a vintage diner, and even caught the blur of yellow cabs rushing by. It felt very true to New York City. Nikki was all smiles, with her wedding bouquet in the air, while Ben couldn’t take his eyes off her.
Evening Cocktail Happy Hour
After the ceremony and lunch at Palma, Nikki and Ben had their evening cocktail hour and reception with their families and friends at The Crown NYC. Here we shot the iconic New York City skyline, the wedding party, and the bride and groom dancing the night away with their loved ones. It was a great way to end the perfect New York City summer wedding.
